Jamaur LawExecutive Director
Jamaur Law, B.S.B.A., is the founder and Executive Director of the Board of the Jamaur Law Foundation. He began his educational journey in the Aliquippa School District and completed it later at Rochester Area High in Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Jamaur was fortunate enough to gain athletic scholarships to compete on a collegiate level. The experiences he has gained by competing on a strenuous level of such high caliber allowed him to connect with the students and understand what it takes to be a successful student-athlete. In addition to being a student-athlete, he was able to learn important skills, such as leadership, time management and effectively working with others toward a common goal. In 2014, he moved from Pennsylvania to Fort Washington, Maryland, and took a job in the finance department of a public relations firm in Washington, D.C. After three years at the firm, Jamaur decided to try education. He spent his first two years teaching in the Prince George’s County school district and the last five years in Washington, D.C. Jamaur has been teaching financial literacy classes to middle school students and young and older adults for the last five years. Jamaur has a beautiful wife and five children. In Jamaur’s spare time, he enjoys attending business and sporting events, traveling, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and continually advancing his education. He is excited to encourage our youth to advance their educational goals as well. |
Mr. Law recognizes his integral role in shaping students for educational success, which ultimately affects the surrounding school district and communities. Therefore, he was compelled to introduce the Jamaur Law Foundation Financial Literacy program as a way of giving back to students, educators, families and its community.
